Attention to all of those who are looking for a gift for a special lady in their life. While I am completely biased because these ideas stream directly from my pinterest … I have always said the way to a womans heart is through pinterest – not really, but lets roll with it.
If I am going to keep things an open book here – I would have to share with you all that Dan and I have not exchanged Valentines Day gifts since before our wedding. We’ve been together for nearly 11 years and all I ever want is a card, a sweet note, or good ol’ fashion roll in the hay to make the day extra special. Gifts are not always necessary. I will say that this year, it wouldn’t hurt to treat ourselves to something on our wish list. We spent the entire year putting so many other things first that it would be a real treat to give one another something special.
Dan – if you haven’t gotten the idea yet, here you go.
[I will be making one for Dan to share with you all this week too, men need a little lovin’ too.]
I have to say, these pieces are great ideas for any lady – there are many of gifts in this guide a girl would gleefully accept!
BTW- a few of these pieces are from a few bloggers/shops I love and adore.

I think you’ll appreciate my hubby and I’s upcoming Valentine’s Day plans. Cleveland Home and Garden Show! Sure, maybe not romantic but it’s all about spending time with your sweetie on Valentine’s Day. Plus, this is the first time in FOUR years that he hasn’t had to work a busy season that always falls this time of the year totally extinguishing any V-Day plans.

Teri – that sounds like a blast! Things sure do change over the years and I wouldn’t trade it for anything! Have a blast!

After 36 years of marriage, Valentines day is just another day for us, a hug, kiss and I love you and off to work we go. Not very romantic but practical, but I did get a surprise on our anniversary..on our 25th wedding anniversary, the hubby dug into the attic and pulled out all of our wedding things, including my wedding dress, cake knife, matches, the candles, everything from that special day, including fresh flowers and displayed it all in the dining room. WOW talk about being shocked when I got home from work…so I guess any day can be Valentine’s Day with the one you love !!

jackie – so sweet and so true!

Abby, we are just like you guys Valentines gifts took a back seat after kids and wedding!!! But I wouldn’t have it any other way, I love the little Valentines Day surprises that we get for our boys! This V-Day will be spent like the last 6, with my sweet boys probably making cookies and crafts of some sort and of course my one treat, a Starbucks Vanilla Latte and marshmallow square!! Happy Valentines Day to you, Danny & the Boys!!!
Abby Thome says
Jessie – that sounds like a perfect Valentines Day to me! I think we used to live off of those marshmallow squares! Hope your day is special too!

I will be spending the night at home, with a quiet dinner with my husband.

Yes Lauren! I would rather be at home than to fight dinner crowds on V-day!
