It never fails that when I pack the boys meals that I think they will love, their little stubborn minds just reject 1/2 of it on a daily basis. Wise Apple taught me that it was not my kids that were in an awful rut of being picky, it was me. Playing it far too safe, packing what I’d hope they were devour. Introducing new options, in smaller portions, where they felt as if they had the control of what they wanted they day changed everything for them.
The Thome boys would hop into the car after school and rip open their lunch boxes to reveal an empty sac each and every day. It felt so good to know that in the morning I did not have to shuffle around and toss junk into their lunch boxes and that they had a healthy delicious meal ready to go!
