Hello ugly duckling desk. My Oh my how you ruffle my re-do feathers the right way.
I am a girl after your junk. Wait, let me rephrase that.
I LOVE a good bargain. Especially on furniture that has been more than loved and lacking every ounce of attraction. Gimme that.
This very desk may have started out bland, but after a few coats of Chalkworthy paint in Mockingbird and a Black Wax finish, this desk took on another identity!
The Mockingbird shade is such a gorgeous true gray, I was so happy with how this desk turned out! I used the black wax to seal the deal, and I love how it took on this look of being worn.
I purchased the new knobs at Home Depot. Stepping outside the box of using the floral brass pulls that were on the original desk.
This is a classic example of really making a point to not overlook pieces of furniture that need a little TLC. All that this piece needed was a fresh coat of paint and new handles, which was so simple to complete! Brody started 1rst grade last week, so this little nook for him in his room is just perfect to sit down and do homework if he wants a bit of privacy.

I am dying to try Thistle, White Linen, Hayride and Farmhouse!
What’s your favorite color?
