Drum roll please ….
It’s finally here. The nursery reveal you all have been waiting for. And if I am being totally honest at nearly 38 weeks pregnant, the reveal I have been really waiting for! We had an amazing idea come to life with implementing a gorgeous feature wall. Our dear friends at Chalkworthy agreed that this was going to be a fantastic project to work together on and we got to work right away!
Our feature wall revolved around one trend that we cannot get enough of. SHIPLAP! This trend of using wood planks to create texture and dimension to a wall had us at hello. If you are not lucky enough to find it underneath your dry wall like they do in Waco, Texas – you’re in luck with our DIY Shiplap Wall! We will have a full tutorial next week, and you guys, it could not get any easier if we tried!
We spent a smidge over $300 for the wood, price not including the tools to get the job done. It was money well spent because it is the first thing you notice in the room! And the results are well, see for yourself!
We used gorgeous pine, and painted it in White Linen. You can buy it HERE. I’ll save all of the details for the DIY Shiplap wall for next week, but you can see what an impact it makes in a room. We cannot wait to carry this through a few other spaces in our home!
The entire wall behind me in this picture is not complete. Unfortunately a piece I had shipped to us came shattered and left us scrambling. BUT I knew I had to share this wall with you guys, and what we’ve got so far. You can see a few pieces still need hung (the painted boxes Owen and I did)
I adore how this room came together, it really feels warm and cozy. Bright and calm. It’s perfect for the little man. Hence the “M”, his name is MAN.
Totally, totally kidding.
Our close friends and family know the babes name, but we’re keeping it hush hush here JUST incase we change our mind. That M is very versatile – Martin, Melville, Moon. (ha.)
The crib is so simple. It makes me wonder why we bought such a big bulky one with the boys. It’s understated and all we need for the babe.
This lamp is adorable, and you can find it HERE. 40% off right now!
We used tongue and groove pine boards, and flipped them over so we had an extra crease between each board. We wanted more dimension + more lines, and so glad we took the plunge!
The print is from Home Goods, it came in a gold frame so we simply painted it. Quick fix to pull it together!
This wall with Chalkworthy White Linen is just the icing on the cake. I love this giant graphic letter M and how it stands out against the white. It is exactly what we hoped it would be!
I have a feeling our new little babe will have plenty of sweet dreams in his new bedroom. We cannot wait for him to join this party!
Check out all of Chalkworthy’s gorgeous colors so you can give life to your favorite pieces!
